ITC is Instituting a Preliminary Injury Investigation and Will Conduct a Hearing Concerning the Antidumping Case on Carbon Steel Cold Rolled Steel Flat Products from China and Korea

On March 15, 2012, Ministry of Finance (MOF) determined to initiate the antidumping investigation on Carbon Steel Cold Rolled Steel Flat Products from China and Korea and requested the International Trade Commission (ITC) of Ministry of Economic Affairs to proceed with the preliminary injury investigation. After receiving the request from the MOF on March 27, 2012, the ITC instituted the preliminary injury investigation on March 28, 2012, in accordance with “The Regulations Governing the Implementation of the Imposition of Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties.” (Attachment:MOEAITC-ID-10100009410 )
In order to proceed with the preliminary injury investigation of the antidumping case on Carbon Steel Cold Rolled Steel Flat Products from China and Korea, ITC will conduct a hearing to provide an opportunity for face-to-face communication between representatives of domestic producers, foreign producers, importers, and other interested parties. The ITC is inviting the interested parties to attend the hearing in order that they may present their arguments. The hearing will be held on April 30, 2012, 9:30 a.m., at room 201DE of the Taipei International Convention Center, which is located at 1 Hsin-Yi Road, Sec. 5, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. If you wish to appear at this hearing, please inform us before April 26, 2012 by fax, airmail or e-mail. Persons signed up for presenting their arguments are also invited to attend the pre-hearing conference, which will be held at 9:10 a.m. prior to the hearing, and they are strongly encouraged to provide 15 copies of written arguments or their summaries with signature.(Summarized English notice of hearing information)
The determination in the preliminary injury investigation is expected to be made before May 6, 2012.
