On July 20, 2000, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) issued an antidumping duty order on imports of Art Paper from Japan. On July 11, 2002, the Ministry of Finance (MOF), according to a petition pursuant to the Implementation Regulation on the Imposition of Countervailing and Antidumping Duties, determined to initiate a changed circumstance review on the above-mentioned case.
'Following the determination of the MOF, the International Trade Commission (ITC) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs hereby conducts an investigation to determine whether revocation or alteration of the antidumping duty order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury.
The review shall be concluded within 9 months from July 11, 2002. Where necessary, the period may be extended, but the investigation shall normally be concluded within 12 months from July 11, 2002. In order to proceed with the injury investigation, the ITC will send questionnaires for the known interested parties (including domestic producers, foreign producers, importers, and purchasers) to fill in, hold hearings, and disclose the essential facts that form the basis for a determination. A schedule for the review will be established and announced at a later date. For further information, please contact the following correspondents or refer to the ITC's website (
