The ITC Is Initiating and Scheduling a Final Injury Investigation of the Antidumping Duty Case on Uncoated Printing & Writing Paper Dumping from Indonesia And Thailand

Following an affirmative final determination by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) that imports of uncoated printing & writing paper from Indonesia and Thailand are being dumped in the R.O.C., and in compliance with the MOF’s determination to terminate the investigation to PT. INDAH KIAT PULP & PAPER Tbk of Indonesia due to de minimis dumping margin, the International Trade Commission ( ITC ) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs initiated its final investigation on October 19, 1999, to determine whether the domestic industry concerned in the R.O.C. is materially injured, or is threatened with material injury by the above dumped imports from Indonesia and Thailand, with the exception of the final investigation of PT. INDAH KIAT PULP & PAPER Tbk of Indonesia.
In order to proceed with the next step of this final injury investigation, we are inviting the interested parties to attend the public hearing in order that they may present their views on this case. The public hearing will be held on November 19, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at room 103 of the Taipei International Convention Center, which is located at 1 Hsin-Yi Road, Sec. 5, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C.
If you plan to attend this public hearing, please inform us before November 15, 1999, by fax, airmail or e-mail. Persons signed up for presenting their views on this case are also invited to attend the prehearing conference which will be held at 1:45 p.m. in advance of the hearing proceeding.
