The ITC of the MOEA Has Completed a Negative Final Injury Determination in the Antidumping Duty Investigation of Steel Shot and Steel Grit from Spain, Italy and South Africa
On March 1, 1999, the International Trade Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the "ITC of MOEA") made a negative final determination in its injury investigation involving Steel Shot and Steel Grit from Spain, Italy and South Africa.
According to the negative final determination, the ITC found that an ROC industry is not being materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports from Spain, Italy and South Africa that are allegedly sold in ROC at less than normal value.
Under the jurisdiction set forth in the Implementing Regulation on the Imposition of Countervailing and Antidumping Duties, the MOEA shall make an investigation, conducted by ITC, as to whether there is any injury to an ROC industry. As a result of the MOEA's negative final determination, we therefore transferred this case to the Ministry of Finance on March 12 for an official termination of this case.
The public Chinese version of the final injury investigation report is expected to be available after April 1, 1999, from the Investigation Division of the ITC. If you would like a copy of this'report, please contact us.
