On March 1, 2006, Ministry of Finance (MOF) determined to initiate, ex officio, the antidumping investigation on toweling products from Mainland China and requested the International Trade Commission (ITC) of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) to proceed with the preliminary injury investigation. After receiving the request from the MOF on March 2, 2006, the ITC instituted the preliminary injury investigation on March 3, 2006, in accordance with the "Implementing Regulation on the Imposition of Countervailing and Antidumping Duties".

The determination of the preliminary injury investigation will be made before April 11, 2006.
