Taiwan Ceramic Industries Association, Champion Building Materials Co., Ltd. and other two companies on behalf of the domestic industry filed a petition on January 17, 2020 with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to impose antidumping duties on Ceramic Tiles from India, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. The MOF determined to initiate the investigation and transferred this case to the International Trade Commission (ITC) of Ministry of Economic Affairs on October 28, 2020 for preliminary injury investigation. The ITC therefore instituted the preliminary injury investigation on October 29, 2020.

In order to proceed with the injury investigation of the  antidumping duty case, the ITC will conduct a hearing on November 30, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at room 201 DE of the Taipei International Convention Center, which is located at 1 Hsin-Yi Road, Sec. 5, Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. Those who wish to attend the hearing are encouraged to register with the ITC through the ITC's website www.moeaitc.gov.tw, or by fax or email before November 26, 2020. Persons signed up for presenting their views are also invited to attend the pre-hearing meeting, which will be held at 1:40 p.m. prior to the hearing, in order to arrange the sequence and time allocation of the presentations in the first session of the hearing. Foreign producers and exporters intending to attend the hearing should pay attention to our COVID-19 quarantine regulations.

Furthermore, due to the necessity for processing investigation information, the ITC postpones the preliminary determination until December 27, 2020.
